closed Trade - Fob Watch with Gold

Hi all,

I have a moon fob watch, pictures below:-



















The inscriptions etc. are as follows; Inside the outer case it is inscribed MOON and A.L.D DENNISON WATCH CASE CO.

Inside the inner case it is inscribed ENGLISH MAKE GUARANTEED TO BE MADE OF TWO PLATES OF 10CT GOLD WITH PLATE OF COMPOSITION BETWEEN AND TO WEAR 20 YEARS.

Slight damage shown on last pic where somebody struggled to open the case.

Looking for 4oz silver rounds / coins.

Do you know the date of production? Or just roughly how old this pocket watch is.

This very successful company continued until 1905 when it was renamed the Dennison Watch Case Company, and that company continued until 1967.

Thanks gents, I believe it to be approximately 1920 in date.

It is also fully working and keeps time well.

If there are no offers on here, it will go on eBay this afternoon to finish next Sunday.

I thought on the second photo up from the bottom there was a date scratched/etched SC1921  but it might be  SC 10/21.

Yes, I saw that too. Looking at others, many have a similar hand engraved mark so it's probably done from factory.

That doesn't allude to a date unless it's coded.
