My Hand Poured Silver Digital Portfolio (2017 & 2018)

For those of you out there that have been following my hand poured silver for a while know that I serialise some of my hand poured silver in what I call "The Ripple Series".

It started in 2016 simply as a way to keep track of what I had poured. I videoed them and put them on my YouTube channel in order.

2016 quickly turned into 2017 and I continued numbering my pieces and to my astonishment by the end of 2017 I had reached 250 pieces!

Because not everything I made was hallmarked when I started, I thought it would be a smart idea to start the mintage again with the new Hallmark date letter, this year a small "t"

So the new 2018 series has started and I have just uploaded the first 19 pieces to this years portfolio of pours.

I like to think of this as a safeguard. If you ever come across a BYB piece on the secondary market and it is not on my website - then something is fishy!

Here is the complete portfolio for 2016/2017 as well.

Feel free to browse through the gallery - I find it fascinating to see the development I have achieved (both in silver smithing and photography!) over the last 18 months.

Again, use this as a safeguard portfolio of my products if you ever come across one on the secondary market.

Here are a few highlights from 2017

Absolutely superb, you really have gone about this the right way imvho (by luck, design, or perhaps more likely by Mrs BYB's wise 'input' :P).

Everything screams care, quality and love for, and dedication to, an art to me. The website looks wonderful.

Am I right that my 'leaf' is pour number 2 this year? If so the website pic shows it missing the leaf stamp!

My only regret looking at your stuff is that I haven't been able to afford a big spinny star as yet...only a matter of time though :)

Thanks my friend :) you are right in thinking Mrs BYB has a lot of imput!

No. 2 is indeed the one you ordered! I will add a leaf to it for you ;)

Do you update the pics/database when your art pieces are sent out in the final form?

Not really asking for myself, more for how the identification/verfication system works through the pics on the website, i.e are pics updated when extra stamps and whatnot are added? I'm sure it's a hassle after so much care has already been taken, just asking! :)

It will have it's photo updated in time ;)

But to be honest even if not you would still be able to tell with 99.99% whether something is real. Weight and shape basically. It would take a very energetic faker to go to such lengths as to try to match individual weights and ripple lines!

But I want the photos to reflect how they look when they go out.
