Good evening hope everyone is staying warm and that you are happy with your current metal plan. It seems many of you from the comments I saw last week have the same plan as we do - 2018 will be year of the gold! We will continue to buy silver but mainly art pieces that we really like, we just received a awesome Noah's Ark from r/PMsforsale  this week
 I also have my eye on some great Community pours. The majority of our budget so far this year has gone to gold and platinum and we can plan on continuing that for the foreseeable future. What's the one piece that you keep checking on or you have in a cart somewhere and haven't pulled the trigger on yet? What are you waiting for? go ahead! and happy stacking!

Nail on the head for the 2018 plan! And with the current price of platinum I thought it would be an ideal time to obtain a little. I've not got any yet. I was specifically looking for fractional pieces due to limited budget but as of yet I've still to come across any. Does anyone know if fractional platinum coins even exist?

Take a look at the European mints offerings. BYB is starting a new group order this month. They have fractional and 1oz platinum coins on offer.

The 1/10 and 1/4 oz are ridiculous premiums but the 1oz options are reasonable around 11% over spot. A lot better than UK prices

I too was keen to buy a piece of Platinum and when there were some good offers on this forum for one ounce coins I nearly pressed the buy button.
What turned me totally off platinum was the emergency buy back price.
When you sell gold you might expect 98% of spot but with platinum you will loose a lot.
I called the Royal Mint ( who were quoting buy prices ) and they said there was low demand to buy hence the poor offering.
Even if you are fortunate to avoid the 20% VAT on Pt, taking into account the intrinsic value when selling compared to gold turned me totally off.
