closed Hand Poured Silver Valentines Day Hearts (or any shape you like!)

Hello all! So, Christmas is behind us and of course that means the next hallmark holiday is just around the corner...

Valentines Day!

So if you would like a custom made piece of hand poured silver for that special someone in your life then look no further!

Because of hallmarking lead times I will be submitting a batch for "valentines" hallmarking on Thursday 25th January. This will mean I get the items back by Friday 2nd February which in turn give us plenty of time to get anything delivered.

For international customers I would advise haste - I am submitting a batch on 11th January (next Thursday). This will give us enough time to get any items delivered internationally.

Hearts are the classic Valentines day gift but as you know I have a lot of different shapes to offer so don't feel like you have to have a heart. However, hearts are very popular so here is the low down on what I can offer heart wise:

Large Heart - Approx. 5 oz

Medium Heart  - Approx. 2.5 oz

Small Heart - Approx 1 oz

All hearts can be either Rippled or Mirrored - your choice (examples in the pictures below).

You can have personalised stamping on the heart and this is included in the cost of the pieces as follows:

Silver is priced at ££22.50/oz which includes my time, running costs of furnace, expenses and hallmarking.

I can offer a mirror finish for +£15 on the 1oz & 2.5oz Hearts and +£20 for the 5oz heart.

A "making of" video with some nice music and personalised message to give with your loved one is +£15

I would require a 50% deposit to make the heart - then if you are happy with the piece we settle up the difference once we know the weight.

Payment via Banks Transfer or PayPal F&F or G&S +5%

PM me or drop me a message on this thread!

I really must recommend @BackyardBullion after buying one of these from him, with video, for my wife last valentines day. I believe this purchase is the only thing that has kept us together for the past 12 months. If you were thinking of buying flowers/chocolates/shoes/Olly Murs CD for your other half then don't. Been there done that (not with your significant other!) and it doesn't work.

Thanks my friend - my hand poured silver cannot take full credit for your relationship though surely!

Please don't sell yourself short. It has everything to do with the heart. In fact I fancy getting a couple of mistresses so may purchase some more. :)

In all honesty both myself, and my wife are very grateful as they are a fantastically unique, romantic gift idea.

Keep it real.

As a purchaser of one of these custom pieces I cannot recommend them enough. @BackyardBullion is really such a pleasure to deal with at every stage of the process, from brainstorming together to get the piece that's 'right' for you right through to delivery of the lovely final article.

The person I gave one to is bemused by my PM 'antics' but was so bowled over not only by the piece itself and that it was commissioned just for her, but also surprisingly interested in how it was made and what all the little stamps mean etc.

I didn't order the video because I didn't think my sister would be that interested in the pour itself, but surprisingly she was. Not to the point where I felt that I'd made a major mistake in not ordering the video as well, but certainly to the point it made me think again, and that for some folk it would be the absolute icing on the cake if funds allow.

It was originally Mrs BYB's idea to make a video with a piece as a gift. She was a non PM person and knew nothing about silver. She has learnt so much from watching me pour and she thinks that being able to look at your piece and then see where each individual ripple came from and formed is very cool and unique.

Just finished this piece for a silver forum member.

Last chance to order one for Valentines day is no later than Wednesday this week. I post the box to the Edinburgh Assay office on Thursday.

You have been warned!

would it be possible to put a loop on a 1oz heart for a chain?

At this time I cannot offer this.

@SilverStan makes some awesome hearts on chains though. Perhaps he can help!
