Why is it that on a silver forum site, the most popular coin by far, is a Sovereign? Not that I mind, I have them as well as silver

most popular coin is not sovereign, for gold yes ......... the most popular coin should be Britannia here

MY TOTAL FORUM TRADE FEEDBACK IS 100 AND IT IS 100%

For me .....

After a few months of collecting silver its nice to feel, hold and look at a decent sized stack.

After a few years of collecting silver the stack grows to a stage where it is awkward to store and does your back in when you try to lift it.

For less grief, but hopefully the same gains, I can fit my sovereigns in a small tube and kiss them good night before I go to bed (although they are in a safety deposit box of course so its a bit of a journey each night ;)).

Currently stacking 10oz Unas and Britannia bars

For me silver is not attractive due to VAT + its not value dense like gold.

If I converted my current gold stack to silver based on today's ratio I would have just over 884 KG of silver, good luck stuffing that under the mattress lol.

It would also take a significant amount of time to piece it out when selling to recover premiums + VAT paid where with gold you can just dump large amounts of generic gold on a dealer with a minimal spread.
