2018 Half Sovereign Bullion

Hi all,

Probably many of us got a notification recently from RMBullion concerning the full and half bullion sovereigns of 2018. The half piece looks significantly different compared to the designs of the past few years... 

Do you assume that this is just a preliminary guess on RMBullions side, or is it real? goldsovereigns.co.uk aka Chards is doing such guesses sometimes. 

I can't -for some freaking reason- attach the pic but I guess you know what I mean...

Of course, the privy mark is gone. That's not surprising. 

But otherwise, I see the entire image has become much larger, reaching almost to the edge, just like the full sovereign always has. In the past few years the image of the half sov was much smaller, see, for instance, the distance between the edge and coat, floor etc.

the horses tail looks different, also the ground near there.

... and the B.P. is in a different location etc. 

Unless it is a guess, the entire die had a serious make-over. That's why I was wondering. Can't wait to see the pair in my hands...

one more question to the professionals:

Did the Royal Mint issue regular bullion 1/2 sovereigns in 2013, 2014 and 2015?
I think they offered only brilliant uncirculated versions on http://www.royalmint.com/ - but no standard bullion coins...

Although technically a bullion half sovereign, it was made under licence by Pamp but was sold by the Royal Mint. 

Just to add, I ain't no professional regarding sovereigns, just thought I'd add to this what I know. There are a quite a few sovereign experts on this forum that I like to take on board what they say as gospel. I've learn't a bit from their impressive knowledge but no way do I know what they do.

India is indipendent from the UK since 194x...

Why would a a sovereign need the "I" mint mark - ok: commemoration and profit
