How ridiculous is this getting?

Appears these have been out for a while but it's the first time I've seen them:

I find it ridiculous enough that these are considered "coins" in any sense of the word, but what baffles me even more is why the grading services deem them to be gradable?  It's getting to the point where I could send in my wrist watch and they would take my money, grade it, and put it in a slab.

Oh it gets much worse my friend, have you seen the “enterprise” coin from the canadian mint??  It’s the actual ship in coin form.  I actually have the one you are talking about but in original mint packaging on a shelf with a couple other Star Trek coins and some memorabilia in my office.  I think some of these coins are ridiculous but I also think that may be their appeal later....who knows.

Haha we posted at the same time, that’s exactly the coin I’m taking about!!  I’m a huge Star Trek nerd and I’ve seen EVERY episode of EVERY series but I’m not going to buy that coin.

If you are not a fan of Star Trek, you never lived !  This type of thing is like buying a statue or a vase....absolutely nothing to do with coins whatsoever. That does not mean it might be of value though, of course but absolutely nothing to do with coins.

DS9 I watched a lot of without ever really enjoying it too much, felt like a lot of it dragged, was better when they went off station 

I didn't mind Star Trek: enterprise but it got a little funky with the ww2 stuff...

On another note, I love Stargate SG1 and Atlantis

The first season of ds9 was slow but after that I enjoyed it.  Yeah enterprise is weird in places with the different reality’s.  Have you seen the new show discovery?  I’m not a fan yet, maybe it will get better.  The thing that bugs me is it’s supposed to take place before the original series but the technology is so much more advanced and it makes no sense?

Don't get me wrong I think these things are cool as well.  So I guess having the queen effigy and a denomination stamped on it makes it a "coin"?

Yeah and it has a currency value, Canada also put out a gold delta shaped coin.

Yeah, but its a limited mintage, so its valuable  

I should do a limited mintage "shite bar", where I encase my crap in gold dust and slab it.  Mintage of 1, should go for millions on ebay I think

If it sells, I'll do more with different privy stamps! (year of the crap, or an entire crap series maybe)

Ah Blakes Seven! I only caught the last few series. The first episode I saw they were bailing out of a spaceship under attack and I think Blake was in it, then he disappeared until the end of the last episode which was like...wtf?

I can blame Servelan (sp?) though for my lifelong love of short-haired brunettes in slinky silky outfits (who stab you in the back with weird spikey things when you least expect it ).

My dear late Mum was an Avon lady at the time which confused me immensely as she used to take me out in the dark and I expected some sort of exciting interplanetary warfare, but we just delivered small bottles of pink smelly stuff to old ladies for a few pence.

She was ahead of her time though, bless her! I saw in a recent documentary that the clientele is much younger, and if you cater to the party scene you can sell little bottles of stuff for hundreds (you seem to need a balaclava though which seems a bit extreme to me).
