I have found if you are not a coinie you probably won't appreciate it as a present.

Mrs BYB is coming around to coins but prefers hand poured by a country mile!

I like this plug :)))

Im starting to go to far my mum was wondering what my auntie would like for christmas. Shes into dogs. So i was like the perth silver 2oz dog coin and she said i dont think shed appreciate it. I think if it was up to me now id get everybody a coin for a present forgetting not many are into it ?

I don't know, I gave a silver panda to a friend last year, she isn't in to coins at all but seemed to not believe me that it was made out of silver lol I think people think silver is way more expensive than it actually is (I guess because most people buy silver in the form of jumped up jewelry prices)

I think coins are nice presents because it's like a little treasure and it's something that will last a lifetime and beyond

Or as BYB is selling himself, could be a nice shaped poured bar too :P

It really was a shameless plug wasn't it!

You can be certain that my quality control is second to none ?

Ask @Rat as we had a quality control issue - long story short I cocked up stamping a heart and it was not good. So I started again completely from scrap rather than just pass it off.

I will back you up on that @BackyardBullion

The sign of a master craftsman is making sure that the finished product meets high standards.

The sign of a good businessman is owning up when things go wrong and then making it right for the customer.

You got it right on both counts BYB.

Just made my first purchase with Goldsilver.be, I was wanting to jump on board BackyardBullion's group order but couldn't get the funds togther in time. I am so nervouse now the excitment has gone, I think that might be because the terms and conditions are in Dutch/German.

I hope its a smooth process from her on out!

I rang GS.be today for an update as the group order had not been marked shipped yet and I was curious on when it was going out so I could plan to be in.

The chap I spoke to was very polite and understanding of why I called. He explained that this week has been one of the busiest they have experienced in the last 6 months. He said they are working through emails and orders but that it would be inevitable that some emails would be missed or not replied to.

Hopefully they will get to your issue in time ?

Yes, this kind of mirrors my experience of a couple of months ago. He's the "good cop" while the other is a bad cop, while Eva is the one delegated to apologise. I've seen this movie before!

Bit weird she wants you to open a PayPal dispute instead of sorting it out or refunding you - but then again, assuming you paid via PayPal and it's easier to get a refund that way. You will probably get to keep the coin as well!

I've never done a paypal dispute before. Would it just be under damaged product? or something along those lines?

Yeah, just ring them and open a disrepute (even say on the advice of the seller). They will then contact the seller. The seller will either challenge it or in this case, they seem like they will just agree and PayPal will issue you a refund taking money out of the seller's account.

In my experience, if a seller asks you to open a paypal case, it's because they are going to defend and are hoping to win.:(

Oh :/ I managed to open a case and won. Just weird if they are telling him to open a dispute unless they were 'fed up' and just wanted to resolve it another way - PayPal...am sure JCRJM has a chance of winning since the coin looks really scratched up?

Was your experience similar to this? I.e. Scratched up coin or something totally different?
