Cambridgeshire Coins - AUNC - £160

Made me happy, now I understand. ;)

I hate the premiums on halfs, which is why I've not yet moved into them. But this is a very pleasing coin and probably worth it.

1887 halves are "scarce" and very popular.

Yes I have at least 10 of 1887, I'm saying this looks like a very nice one and would almost make me pay the premium for it! When I say "I've not moved into them", i mean I've not actively started date runs and organising etc, and completing halfs because of the premiums will be a LOT more costly.

Of course the ones I get are lucky dip, so cheap. Not to say a few aren't very nice though. I believe my profile pic is an 1887 half :)

Actually I class it more as an "Angled RIA" and it is listed by NGC but not by PCGS.

NGC class it as RIA over RIA but if you look you will see that the RI and A lean over to the right. They have graded 3.

Unfortunately NGC have listed at least one of these in error but yours is "spot on"!!

Indeed yes and I can tell then all apart on sight.

The truth is more like I pick them up for as close to bullion as and when I see them and throw them into storage with the rest:P

I must get around to cataloguing them sometime, might be a rare one in there.
