@sovereignsteve you've probably seen but morezone just posted pics in another thread and on the £5 the Queen isn't frosted. Looks just like a proof otherwise doesn't it

Is that a scratch on her cheek? emoji54.png

I have had a good look with the loupe and I am 99% certain it's not a scratch - I've seen plenty of scratches on gold coins before. So this probably is an error of some type. Someone like @Numistacker may have seen this before and offer his opinion if I'm lucky

2017 Temple Panda in silver.  Also received the 2 replacements with it for the sub standard Brass and Bi-Met which I sent back.  Cracked it out of the pouch.

Could that be a hair imprinted? Scratch that straight across frosted relief and polished surface would be hard to produce otherwise...

Thanks for the reply Numi, more investigation required on my part on this one. I added another pic above but I don't think it adds much. Be interesting to see if others find similar. Really hard to see so I can understand it sneaking past QC.

Cheers

the certificate clearly declares BU quality, but the declaration tells you not to handle to avoid spoiling the Proof quality.

LOL don't you just love the RM? Seems they're pumping these things out so quickly in their haste to completely milk this anniversary, the different departments aren't keeping up with each other.
