1981 1/4 Onza, beautiful coin with full cartwheel. Hard to get a good picture of this coin but definitely heading to NGC this fall for grading. Should be an MS64+

I received my order from France Mint (Monnaie de Paris) today. The face value silver coins are "normal" but I would like to share this heavy medal (350 grams, 85% copper + 15% zinc). Using a one-euro coin as scale reference of this 75mm medal. It depicts the grand Forbidden City Palace of Beijing, with a modern touch of bicycles and rickshaw on the reverse side.

Ive been doing this for 1 month now, I have the same sovereign as you.

I have gathered a fair bit of Silver and a MS69 1/20th Gold panda in that month but the Sovereign is my favorite by far.

I see it as a start of a sovereign journey.

Got my first sovereign today. I took a punt with Atkinson's random bullion lucky dip and crossed my fingers that I didn't get a veiled head Victoria. 

Nothing special but I'm happy with this as my first. I may have to change my username.

Pretty decent quality for a random coin. Some more sovereign savy expect these young heads to go up if the inevitable eventually happens.

Possible but also likely it was the punch that was used to impression the "E" into the die that had the broken edge.
