Help... Lunar 2 -1/4s, Sovs or Pandas

Hi All

I have been collecting for a few months now, which has been a real journey,  and to my eternal shame forgot about this forum completely until now..... and would really appreciate some advice in which direction to go now.

I am looking to collect 1/4 oz's but focus in one area and have narrowed it down to the above 3. From a base point I am looking at 2005 onwards for the Sovs and Pandas and 2008 for the Lunars. I have been lucky enough to acquire a 2008 S2 1/4 mouse and 2005 Sov as start points but no Pandas, also 8 out of 11 Lunar 2 1/10's.

My initial thought is to trade the 1/4 mouse, complete the 1/10's and then focus on Pandas for the variety. I am not going to be in any rush to sell, touch wood, but would obviously like to make sure my investment is going to be reasonably secure if you're paying the premiums for the Lunars and Pandas or go for safety with the sovs.

Your learned thoughts would be much appreciated... hope you understood all that !!!

"Safety with the sovs" you won't go far wrong with Sovereigns. All the best with the collecting.

Don’t know if you have the 1/10 tiger but @arshimo2012 has some up for sale     Sovs cheaper to but lunars and pandas lot better to look at but can cost

Have got the tiger, it's the usual mouse and ox that are the problem, that's why I was thinking of trading the 1/4 mouse...

So you want a date set starting at 2005?  Another option would be a type set.  Start with ones that are still reasonable in price though, or fill in with a half sov when necessary.  Start with a Victoria shield back maybe and work your way up.

Thanks for that.. looks like the general concensus is Sov's, it's going to be an 18th birthday present.... who knows he might be able to exchange them for a years car insurance lol......
