@Madstacks yes, the dream is to have your own land but the tiny houses are mobile and can be moved wherever you choose. 

Maybe find a farmer/landowner and offer security in exchange for a permanent site?

Ah yes now you mention they move i actually saw someone do this on a TV show in america:)

I literally travel the country sourcing new stock so not one for me, but can absolutely see some doing this! 

Doing odd jobs on the go to supplement pitch costs is something we want to do do though:)

Pitch fees!!!!  What are they????  Save a few bob and practice 'wild camping' ?.   Wildax.co.uk do some nice compact vans - nearest agent to Dorset is in Melksham

Wildax look awesome, certainly on the to look at list, we have actually been considering caravan too as for the same price as a 7 year old van we can get a top of the range brand new caravan with timberless construction and composite material floor, along with a nice used car with an approx 10k value ontop. 

Not as robust as a van, but seriously considering it as well, to say they have moved on a bit from the one i used to holiday in as a kid is an understatement.
