The advice about getting a sovereign on a regular basis is good advice. I would get them in a capsule and get a sovereign displace box, it will take you quite a while to fill it. Something like this. You will have all your sovereigns together, you will see your collection grow and you will be able to enjoy looking at them. This will be a big motivator. You will see sovereigns on here at good prices and you will see other nice coins. There was a gold Lord of the Rings 1/10oz advertised this morning which got snapped up in no time, so you really need to look in on what is happening on a regular basis.

@sixgun great advice about the capsules! When I bought my 2017s from Atkinsons (very happy indeed with both the company and the coins!) I bought four capsules for them for 25p each - I don't know if they'd have done it if I hadn't asked but they sent the flips as well which is always useful. I wish at that price I'd have got some extra in 'spare' because since then I've bought three without capsules from here, and also found one at home (as you do! ).

Random year sovereign receipts are worth keeping for forum buys. I only proved selling sovereigns and britannias, some of which were forum bought. Bullion by post receipts for britannias (2014 receipts) for coins bought last year, hgm reciepts for sovs. Some stuff I can't prove I bought so I didn't sell it at the time. Arshis silver kilo bars, a few odds and ends. I have sold some since completing though, houses cost a lot of blood and treasure to make them nice 

It's all a game.
