And that really is a shame.  As vand mentioned, (and in my opinion also) the Somalia Elephant coins seem to consistently hit home runs with the design but their reputation for milking keeps me away as well.

The Somali Elephant does suffer from milking. i bought a few tubes of Elephants from Silver-to-Go and half of the coins ended up milking. i sent 5 coins to Backyard Bullion to make silver products.

I like the design I plan to pick up a tube in September. Do you know if Apmex will have them in September.

Also is it common that 2018 coins are released before the start of the year?

Got multiples of these from 2004 to present and have had no problems with milking .
