  1. This may have been done before, but i dont think a poll. Was just looking back over some old stuff and got to thinking about how i have been stacking 4 and half years now. I wonder if i will still be doing it in another 5? Maybe its become put of the routine to put that little bit of money to the side every pay day for buying some silver. Would be interesting just to know what type of mix up we have here on the forum, some people stacking for longer than me would have gone through the 2011 jump, others stacking for longer may have bought silver at under £4-5 spot!!!
  2. Hello everyone, Im Silverwings and I have been collecting silver and gold for 3 months. I had inherited a few gold and silver coins many years ago and decided to research about these coins and found a wealth of information on youtube and I started collecting silver and gold from that point on. Im learning a lot from other stackers as we share information and I couldn't be happier to share with such a wonderful community. Now I found the silver forum and I look forward to communication and learning with more wonderful collectors. Thanks. Below is a link to my first video explaining why I stack in 2017.
  3. Ever think about selling your whole stack? I am not selling my stack, not even selling a single coin but if you were to sell your whole stack, what would you doing with the money? I was thinking about it in work the other day and since then spent a little time on google looking for options and none are appealing to me at all. Stocks are to high, P2P lending and saving accounts are boring, bitcoin is crazy and i dont have much knowledge on anything else. Premium bonds look interesting but would they beat inflation long term? and 50K cap. If i sold my whole stack, i would get around 13K, not a huge amount but not a small amount either. I can really only see myself selling everything to buy a house outright. Right now i could buy a 3 bed council house for 55-60k. So i am a quarter'ish to way there in 3 1/2 years. 15-20 years would be doable i reckon. After you figured out what to do with your money, you have to figure out what to do with your time. How much time do you spend watching youtube videos, on the forum, reading articles, checking charts, searching ebay, updating spreadsheets, planning out orders are anything else silver related. I'd have nothing to do, my abandoned xbox would get much love again. It is more likely i would get bored and start stacking again Morel of the story, silver stacking is the dogs balls and perfect hobby/investment for me.
  4. As the titles asks, Do you ever think to reevaluate your stack? I dont have a huge stack but its decent at around 500 oz with 30 on the way. I have 132 different pieces according to my excel sheet, of course this number grows with every order. This in time will make my exit plan very time consuming. I often think about what if i stuck to buying my core coins, the 12 coins i stack every year religiously and cut out the rest, all the fun coins i buy just cause they look nice are, are new release coins that everyone else is getting them so i have to get some too What if i sold everything i have except for my core 12 and used the money to reevaluate my stack into those 12 coins from years 2015+ I started stacking at the end of 2013, learnt from mistakes in 2014 and got more organised in 2015. I know if i did this, i would roughly gain 25-35 oz's in the process and i would have a clean catalogued stack that would be easier and quicker to exit with. Core 12 - China panda, Congo gorilla, libertad, koala, Kookaburra, Perth lunar 1/2 oz, 1oz & 2oz, Somalian elephant, Uk britannia, Uk lunar series and finally kangaroos added in 2016. Some may think that 12 is still to many but i stack these because everyone knows them, they are easy to resell and i enjoy watching the date runs grow every year. I would make some personal stack with my brit date run, SBSS coins and 1 offs for under the bed, no more than 50 ozs. The master plan is to stack my core 12 for 5 years. Then each year after i will flip the oldest coin and buy that years. So in 2020, i will flip my 2015 coins to buy 2020's, maybe sell 20 to buy back 23-24 and get my stack to become self-funding. Oz's over premiums. Plus i would like to invest else where in a couple of years so my pension is not in 1 pot, still have 30+ years to go so plenty of time. But the self fundng thing is important to me, semi-passive pension fund with a few weeks of selling and buying each year. Nice wee pot off the rader away from the tax mans preying eyes. Second thought, my new avg per oz would make me cry Anyone ever thought of doing something like this are has done it? It seems like a good plan but it maybe boring not getting those 1 offs, the spice to the stack, Any thoughts?
  5. Just a quick pander? I for some reason, a reason i do not know, i refuse to buy anything American. I dont think i have any dislike towards America are americans, a few of my best mates from Thailand are yanks. I just for some reason dont like any of it, even not biding on good ebay job lots (8-12 oz) because there was an eagle in there. I just thought that was abit strange I can understand people dont liking certain mints cause of milking are scratch's on coins but i was wondering if you have a mint are country to never buy from are even go out of your way to avoid.
  6. Post your stack

I have had the day off work and not alot to do so i decided to pull the stack out for a sorting. Wanted to tube up some elephants and check for any new milky's. 2015 pandas are milking which i thought odd. Anyways, ended up taking a few quick pics to post up. The picture quality is rubbish but everyone knows what most coins look like. That is the complete stack above ^^^^^^^^^^^ Below are my tubes of britannias, x1 2012, x1 2015, x3 2016 & x1 2017, tube of milked 1.5oz polar bears, tube of 2015 2 oz turtles and tube of 1/2oz apmex rounds. The rolled coins are my x120 1/2oz lunars along with x4 2oz's and x10 1oz's. Almost forget the 2008 5oz libertad. Next, i have my 500gram and 10oz silver bars, queens beast and x2 ms-69 coins. In the boxes are a 2000 queens mother sterling proof coin, 210 brit, 1985 silver proof £1 and a boxed 2011 1/2 sov. You can also see the sheet of 2016 pandas under the 2015 and 2016 congo garilla's. Bars, graded and boxed are mostly impulse and ebay bargins for me. Now we have 3 years of koalas, 2 years of kooks, 1 year of kangaroos, 2 years of libertads and 3 years of elephants. These are stacked in piles of 5. On the bottom row, there is tailed eagles, the UK lunar series, zanzibar qr codes coins and 2014 pandas. These are in piles of 3. These are coins most of us buy every year, easy to trade. Next up are my milky maples and birds of prey series. The only 2 coins none milked coin i have are the 25th anniversary and the superman ones. Along the bottom, theres a 2013 bitcoin, zombuff and ramdon mint stuff. Theres also my x4 SBSS coins, you cant really see them. Theres a 2013 slave queen, 2014 feedom, 2015 cannabis and 215 silver bull. In the bottom corner, you can just about make out a 2009 koala. Below are more random coins that i have got in parts of lots, seen of offer are added to make up an order. Got a couple of good ones, 2004 kook won from ebay, 1985 libertad and 2011 panda. Nothing else really special . Then i have the britannia date run from 98 through the 2017. Have a few extra 01, 05 and 11's along the bottom. Need to buy the wooden box for these. Packed up and ready to go back into storage for another while. I understand a lot would not entertain the idea of posting there stack but i feel safe enough on here. Hope you've enjoyed a quick snap of my hard earned stack Stack on bro's and hoe's !!!!
  7. Ordering from the US to the UK

Hello, This is something i have been looking to try for a long now, maybe 18 months but i cant seem to pluck up the courage to pull the trigger. I have dozens of times filled the basket at one of the US dealers with everything i cant get over here, decent rounds and bars. We are very limited to what can get at a decent price in the UK. Even with vat taken into account, the prices are still ok. That can be overlooked for the selection of stuff you get. The killer for me is postage. For me to be able to justify the postage cost, i would need to put in a £1000 order. My norm is around £500, so that would mean saving twice as long the make an order. Just really looking for someone who has ordered and received silver a few times from the US to share some wisdom. Cheap shipping, cheap transfer from £-$ (I have transferwize), best places that do not mark there parcels bullion if there are any, all that stuff. The stuff you cant find in guides, first hand experience.
