  2. Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and just started stacking about 6 months ago. I obtained a 2017 Mexico 2 Coin Silver Libertad set. I am trying to pick up every version of the 2017 Libertad. My daughter was born in 2017 and I am looking to gift her my coins when she is older. i posted a video on YouTube. Check it out and let me know what is your opinion on this set and the Libertad series as a whole. thank you
  3. Hi All, I have 10 of these mini proof coins for sale. 0.8 grams each proof quality. 8,000 mintage £75 each inc 1st class insured delivery within the UK (if outside the UK you can still buy but pay the extra Postage cost). I’ve only taken them out of their original RM boxes to check they were inside and then to take hers photos so they are in as sent condition from the mint and will be packaged well by myself to protect this box too. I have 100% seller feedback on SF so buy with confidence. Make me an offer if you want to buy all 10 coins. Payment upfront via direct bank transfer only please. Thanks! MS
  4. I recently bought the Isle of Man proof and reverse proof set. Very nice coins, really like the reverse proof design, and supposedly as a set only 500 were minted. Anyone else like these or collect them? It seems there is a "Noble" minted annually, but I am having trouble finding out if there are silver ones minted annually or just platinum. I also can't seem to find ones found minted every year, but on off years. Take a look at some lovely photos below!
  5. New Coin Lover From Lithuania

Hello, my name is Roman, I heard about this forum from Backyard Bullion channel on YouTube, and decided to join. Since childhood I am collecting coins, and also see them as long term investment and saving. First I was collecting different coins, but now I decided on what to concentrate. I enjoy coins with high premium and lower mintages, like Britannia Proof, Beatrix Potter Proof, UK Lunars Proof, Queen's Beasts Proof, Australian Lunars: both BU and Proof. Also love China Panda and some other popular coins. I collect only silver coins (and few gold), and if it's old coins, then I collect bigger denomination coins (no cents, pennies, or similar). From experience I decided, that I want to have less coins, but those, that I love and treasure, that were harder to get and have bigger value. And of course having MS70 gives such a warm and complete feeling :-D Some of my coins:
  6. Beatrix Potter Series 2018

So I just got an email from the Royal Mint for the 2018 series of Beatrix Potter. Dunno about everyone else but I have placed my order as soon I got the email. I'm guessing in the morning the RM website will be on a count down entry like last time... Will be interesting to see if so, and how long they take to sell out. I know 2017 have not increased in value quite like 2016, but that's probably a given for anything which is the first of something. Still 2018 is limited to only 35,000 and I believe many people will still wish to get their hands on such a beautiful set, hence why I thought I would let you all know now for those who may wish to
  7. The pictures really don't do justice to the amount of detail on these 2oz medals, but they are very beautiful and I was excited to receive them today. Mintage of 200 on the Antiqued and supposedly 328 on the proof. I say supposedly because the mint and the COA say maximum mintage of 328 but mine is numbered in the 390's. Maybe they changed the mintage later, maybe they didn't number them starting at 1, but anyway, I'm still thrilled to have these. Any thoughts from you fine folks as to the mintage/COA discrepancy?
  8. Impulse Buy

Hello Forum I hope everyone is well and avoiding the January bugs floating around, I have not been so lucky. Anyway I came across this little shiny Silver Piedfort Five Pence Coin with a COA online going for reasonable price (under £20). It Weighs in at a massive 6.5 grams Stirling with a mintage of 20k. Please feel free to comment with your thoughts and also include some of your most recent Impulse buys .
  9. Have any silver forum members purchased or seen one of these in the Early Release Black Core holders? I have the Unicorn of Scotland and Lion of England in these Early Release holders which I believe are special from Modern Coin Mart, but haven't seen the Red Dragon of Wales available. I'm fearful I may have missed the opportunity! If anyone has one for sale I'm interested!
  10. Hi I was just wondering if anyone could give any info on 2007 UK Three Sovereign Proff Coin Collection and Britannia 1992 Gold Proof Coin Set. Mainly looking at price they would sell and and how in demand they are. Thanks for any info given.
  11. Is this a mule or is this a fake?

Hi everyone I got this 1997 Britannia Silver Proof 20p coin as part of a larger lot in an auction a few years ago. I noticed it had gold gilding and did a bit of home research and discovered that none had been minted. I contacted the Royal Mint who confirmed this stating, " that the gilding must have been applied to the coin after it had left the mint". What do you think? If it is a genuine mule, should I get it slabbed? Any information or advice would be warmly appreciated. Many thanks, Piggybank
  12. 1911 sovereign help

I have a 1911 sovereign that I bought some time ago as a regular bullion sovereign, but is it possible this is actually a 1911 proof (albeit circulated)? Probably wishful thinking on my part, but would like any opinions from the sovereign experts here. Hope this pics are good enough. The coins isn't in the best of shape as you can see. Thanks in advance!
  13. Hello would someone help me please?

Hello my name is Percy Cateriano, I'm 23 years old and live un Peru (South America). I started collecting coins about 3 and a half years ago and really enjoy doing it. My collection is still pretty small, just about 13 silver coins. I have both a 10 yuan silver Panda (2012) and a 2016 MS-69 Britannia from NGC. I Also have a domestic collection of very beautiful (i think haha) proof silver coins minted from the Peruvian Central Bank as a part of the Iberoamerican Series (1991 - Present) but unfortunately here there are no graduating companies so if someone could help me and give me some advice about how to submit my coins to NGC (I don't wanna become a member of NGC because I have so few coins and I've never done a submition before). Thanks for your help. I'll post some photos of my small collection.
  14. High Demand Releases

I was wondering if there is any rumors floating around out there about some potential new releases with low mintages coming out soon. If so let’s put them out there. I heard of some Perth Mint Releases coming out. A Dragon and Tiger sober coin and an Emu Silver coin as well. Also heard that there will be a new Saltwater Croc Gold Coin. So hold on to those 2014 Silver Saltwater crocs. They may go up in value here soon.
  15. 2017 Silver Britannia Proof

Whats everyone's thoughts on the 2017 Britannia design? Most of you have probably already talked about it but I'm new to this so will have missed a lot! I got one last week and think it looks good, but then I've never had such a shiny coin before got it in the box as well so probably spent a bit much. I've only got a couple of coins all from the royal mint and think they're nice, what's your opinions on other mints and the quality of them?

  19. Premium of Proof coins over bullion grade

Hi everyone, Just wanted some thoughts how much of a premium one should pay for a proof coin over say an equivalent bullion grade. I know its depends on the year, mintage, rarity etc But 20% 30% Reasonable?
  20. Best Silver Proof Sets for Investment

For a long time I've stacked bullion grade silver coins to simply make weight. However I'm getting more and more interested in collecting a set or series that would hold its value and hopefully prove a good investment in the long run. Any advice, or views are greatly appreciated.
  21. Unicorn of Scotland, send it back?

Ordered the Unicorn proof from the Royal Mint a few weeks a go and got it on Friday. Send it back? I think so. Refund or money back? Your help will be more than nice.
  22. Is there a way anyone knows of gently cleaning a proof gold coin without destroying the surface? I have a ultra-sonic jewelry cleaner, which I've used for cleaning dirt off lesser quality coins, but scared to use on a proof gold coin. Also, can NCS do anything? I plan on getting it graded in the future. Thanks!

We prefer to give our customers good quality, impartial information and advice, to help them come to the best decision, rather than use pushy hype and salesmanship. We are happy to discuss our margins with anyone who asks and do not hide behind prices or complicated formulae. Over 50 Years In The Industry It’s hard to believe that we have now been in business in sunny Blackpool for over 50 years. We have seen precious metal prices fall and rise, VAT added to investment products and then removed, the United Kingdom join and (possibly) leave the EU and we have seen nine prime ministers! From our small beginnings we have now developed into a multi-million pound business, employing fifteen members of staff, serving customers all over the world and still working on the same basic principles. 2017 UK Bullion Dealer of the Year For the third year in a row, we have been voted the UK Bullion Dealer of the Year. 24. The Work of Jody Clark

Hello Silver Forum, I'm in a bit of a dead-end regarding a numismatic hunt and would like your help. I've been a big fan of the Royal Mint's Britannia series and may be an Anglophile in general, so I was naturally drawn to the newly designed 5th definitive portrait design of Queen Elizabeth II. The designer who won the competition to be the engraver for that portrait (most likely the last one ever of QEII), is also the designer of the infamous "booty" Britannia proof coin of 2014 (image below), and the Queen's Beast series of coins that was introduced last year. If you haven't guessed by now I'm a fan of Jody Clark and his work. What I'm having difficulty with is finding more information on his other designs. So far I've discovered he designed the 2014 Ryder Cup silver medal (there are two versions of the medal but same design), a 2014 NATO Summit medal which was given to the Heads of State in attendance, and even the reverse of a Tanzanian coin (all pictured below). Does any other Silver Forum member have information on Jody Clark's other designs which were done for Lesotho (a medal), Costa Rica, Azerbaijan, or any information on the design's mentioned above? I've written to the Royal Mint to find out more information, but they haven't responded and I doubt they will. It wasn't a question about an order and I'm not residing in the UK so I bet my email was tossed. Appreciate the help all! D
