Here's a recent addition to the collection - I figured this forum would appreciate it, being a Sovereign 
1911C, minted in Ottawa, capital of my home country Canada. Most C-minted specimens are comparitively rare, though I believe 1911 is the most common of them.
Its a circulated coin, but in abnormally good shape for something that turned up in a store randomly. Likely an estate sale or part of a collection being liquidated.
 

Some sovereigns. Picked them up when gold was 1430 so somewhere in the middle of the chaos. A couple are ex jewellery which is a shame but they gave me them for a reasonable price and they scanned as 22ct which is all i care about lol.

Well a rather late but no means least arrival on Monday of a vintage Johnson matthey 16oz 1lb bar purchased in 1968 I’m over the moon to be able to add this to my collection  

Another 2022 sotd sovereign and yes it ain't perfect either just how most of them are i think.

Minted in Bern, 400,000 pieces

2006 Silver Proof Annual Collection #1 of 1   Before The Royal Mint landed upon its current design for annual year proof-set boxes - shiny black for silver, and the superior wooden veneer for executive proofs - it first ejaculated the 2000 "Millenium" and 2006 "80th Birthday" silver sets. Both sets included a silver 4-coin Maundy set and both boxes were heinously unattractive.    So egregiously ugly, in fact, that I have decided to replace the original boxes with their wooden "executive" counterparts, jettison the Maundies, and offer safe harbour to the appropriate - and originally excluded- commemorative silver proof coins.   The 2006 addenda are the braces of Victoria Cross heptagons and the Brunel doubloons.   A marked improvement imo and considerably more in keeping with their modern counterparts.   The Maundy set will have to go.

Got my replacement from EIC today for their Gothic Quartered Arms, good customer service and great coin even if its not the RM version

Lion bouncing round the capsule ( which was almost open) lol, poor cat going back and set being cancelled. My run of luck is 5 bad coins out of 7 releases 😃

Picked up my SOTD Jubilee sovereign from the Royal Mail today.  I have to say I am very impressed.  The frosting really highlights the design on this coin.  Definitely a keeper.
 
 

The 2003 1oz gold Britannia Bust in PF70. The best Britannia portrait in my opinion. Now just need the 2005 Britannia design to complete the 4 Philip Nathan 1 year special designs. Ironically I had it and sold it 😩
