  6. Item: Uncut Sheet Union Bank £1 Notes - Printer's Proofs. This 1954 uncut sheet of 4 x £1 notes is in very good, crisp condition. When notes were prepared by the bank, sheets were sent to the printers for comments on needed improvements. These Printer's Proofs were retained by the bank once the decisions were made. In the 1980's a few of these sheets were were released by the Bank of Scotland as part of a fund raising effort for the establishment of a museum in their headquarters in Edinburgh. These are very rare and were previously purchased from a reputable London dealer. This item will be of interest to any banknote enthusiast / collector.
