  1. hi from a newbie

Hello and welcome! Enjoy the forum! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  2. Today I Received

Recieved these two beauts today from HGM. Always tend to receive newer sovs from the lucky dip, others tend to get the older sovs. Doesn’t bother me too much. I suppose that’s the point of a lucky dip! Keeping my fingers crossed for an oldie or two at some point though. Maybe in the next purchase 🀞🏻
  3. Today I bought.....

Wow! I never seem to get oldies, recieved two 2009’s. Nice quality though! I’m happy! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  4. Today I bought.....

Great minds! I did the same. Popped to the post office though to post another coin, was gone 15 minutes. Missed my delivery today 😬 it's like they know............ Hope you get some goodies πŸ‘Œ

  6. for sale or exchange Job Lot of Perth Mint + MORE!

You still have both Apmex 2oz lunar series? Interested
  7. @BackyardBullion that's so cool. Super jealous! Looks like you had a great time and to return with 20kg of.999 silver shot is another level. Standing by for the interview 😁
  8. Today I made.....

@Pipers from the videos I have watched, its seems .999 silver is easier to work with than the .925 that I have been using. Also .925 tarnishes quite easy compared to the .999 I am still very much a novice and learning alot still as I go along. I use MAPP gas and a BURNZOMATIC torch. I intend on getting a furnace at some point soon am able to keep the metal hotter for longer and also larger quantities of silver. Great fun though. Pictures to follow.
  9. Today I made.....

@Pipers I have had a go at pouring 925 silver bars. I have made 15 so far over 3 90 minute sessions. I will post some pics at some point. They are pretty cool, look really nice! Not as easy to work with as it seems to be with 999 silver weigh around 20g.
  10. What is this?

I would hazard a guess at possibly some sort of overhead wire conductor for trains or trams. The back seems to be scorched or something. And silver is an awesome conductor! Obviously just a guess though, I haven't a clue πŸ˜‚
  11. 2005 kilo Panda - was this a bad deal?

    Awesome! Quite a bargain! Congrats
  12. New to the forum and looking for some help.

WElcome to the forum! Awesome collection you have there. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
  13. 1/4oz or 1oz coins?

Sovereigns! By far the best value for money when buying, however unless you get a super quality good date, not worth much of a premium when selling, unless you paid that premium when you bought it. 1oz rounds however can accumulate a larger premium in a shorter time. I think it depends on the person and the reason for collecting. I am in it for the investment and the satisfaction of collecting and earning my precious metals. Either way, you can't go wrong with sovs πŸ‘Œ
  14. Any help? I’m confused!

@Goldhooked I agree they are easy to tell apart just confused that two coins composed of different base metals weigh exactly the same and are the same dimensions. Appreciate your reply though πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
