They are converting it into digital money ( encrypted tokens or "coins" ). Those that can be stored on a decentralised and distributed online ledger using blockchain technology.
 

Crypto is not just wealth creation there are thousands of willing investors transferring / exchanging their hard earned fiat cash into crypto tokens.
I doubt the Crypto bubble will ever burst , for every thousand investors that loose everything there is another thousand ready to fill the void.
Crypto will in future evolve into a banking system that we all use.

I bought the 2022 Memorial proof direct from the RM with free postage held it for a while and sold it on with a profit. With the current dip in gold I will be picking up two bullion Memorial's so have turned one proof into two bullion. 
I liked the proof but prefer two bullion in hand , a proof is harder to sell while bullion are much more liquid.

I bought from CoTR though s they inspect before they despatch and deal with any QC issues directly with RM, and still paid issue price only incl. delivery

If Russia and NATO stop tiptoeing around in Ukraine, take their gloves off and really begin to go full on at it with each other across Europe whilst simultaneously China and America also start a full on war with each other across the Pacific then gold could easily go to £5,000 in a matter of days. Mind you if that happens I doubt we’d care much about the price of gold anymore or even be able to log on to the internet to check what it is.
I hope gold stays relatively stable at around £1,500 - £2,000 and gradually goes up with inflation over the years.

Like land, “they” aren’t making any more gold (at least until we start mining other planets etc). Until then, demand will continue to outstrip supply and as supply gets more difficult, slower and more expensive to mine, gold price will go up. It’s like it’s own natural built-in inflation.
Gold will require more fiat to buy said gold every decade that passes, the gold doesn’t change but the knowledge of the cost to obtain gold in any given currency does.
Just like land and houses in the UK at least, every 20-25 years I’d expect the gold price to at least double. Gold seems to be doing much better than property since 1970, then 1995 and then 2020. Just look at those jumps in fiat price. 👌
No 3rd party and as liquid as cash itself!!!

I don’t go in for graded coins, but hypothetically, to answer your question, I’d pick the normal label.
As I said, in my opinion, the First Release label has nothing to do with numismatics, and is a gimmick which I wouldn’t want associated with my coin.
I realize some may feel it adds value or prestige to the coin, but I have a contrary view - I think it cheapens it.

Hurray!  A 2022 Queen Elizabeth II memorial proof sovereign……..looks good at first inspection the tiniest bit of flake next to the I in FID but I can easily sort it. Will have a closer look at it when n better light……. Gorgeous looking sovereign, can’t wait to get my hands on the £5 sov’s.
