When I bought it it said 80 Ltd and 83 Maximum mintage so they were literally changing it as they were selling them. Then mine got cancelled 3 hours after I got the confirmation email 🤦‍♂️
All they need to do is get it right. They have one job, get the mintages right ffs.
I am not referring to the 5oz Gole either. Which was 80 too I believe

That's correct as long as I've been looking/buying (about five years), so you also had to look at the Maximum Coin Mintage. Though previously it usually bullet-pointed the Limited Edition Presentation number in the 'key selling points', while here it's part of the sub-header (and they've dropped the 'Presentation').
It must be a deliberate change imho, and not one for the better for me (in terms of clarity for new buyers). Also, even if they don't do much with the 'extra' usually, I don't recall a release where the MCM was more than double the LEP.

So do the chaps just up the road at MCM, it's why they only sell the 70s

I was a coin collector for years and to be honest I can't tell the difference between an MS63 and an MS64, to say nothing of MS69 to MS70, I truly believe the minute levels of 'accuracy' half the time are very much subjective from one person to the next. I guess in many ways that's because growing up with the British system it was much broader, VF or EF kind of boundaries you had to distinguish between, so more obvious, MS63 and 64 were all bracketed under UNC and sold at the same price!
I long gave up buying coins based on grade, in fact I don't grade coins at all now when I buy them, for what few I occasionally buy, I simply ask myself - does it have the eye appeal that I am looking for?
If I like it I buy it and stuff the grade, cos you know when you come to sell it, a dealer will buy it from you as GF and then sell it on as AVF anyhow!

Chards and me dont get on because I don't like them selling items they don't have in stock, so other dealers get my business that don't use this practice
Their choice how they do business but it is not for me, other seem more than happy to wait an undisclosed amount of time
If i'm committing to buying something i want it in a few days, not a few weeks, months or even a years time

I'm very surprised they would even mention grades as no one knows what a coin will grade its only a prediction and then theres the transit of the coin. If they remint expect to wait a while for another, I have given up waiting for remints on other coins and have also had worst ones returned.

I think the more people that start saying they want their coins to hit certain grades to RM the more chance they will look to move into selling graded at much higher prices. I have noticed a lot of people seem to be so much worried about really tiny imperfections these days and a lot that I've seen on groups are mostly dust. I'm fussy but a lot I see I would send to grading that people are considering returning.

I'm predicting we see a higher % of 70s this time around compared to the Unas as they have been taking on board feedback and the recent 5oz Eltons show how they have improved since the Queens as one example

    On commutation, read this: https://www.unbiased.co.uk/news/pensions/should-i-take-my-pension-lump-sum
    You need to weigh up:
Are getting a good deal on turning annual income in to an upfront lump sum? (commutation rate is critical to understand this)  Does your ill health significantly impact your life expectancy? (as this can make a bad commutation rate a reasonable one for you if your life expectancy is significantly reduced by ill health) The £20 per week pension, index linked to inflation and paid for life would likely cost you somewhere in the region of £30,000+ to buy in the market, maybe a bit less depending on what the exact nature of the poor health.
    Unknown on the benefits angle

The RM decided to launch a new series of coins called The Great Engravers to commemorate engravers of coins from past years. The first coin launched 2020 was Una and the Lion. They were not launched in massive numbers I think the 2oz silver was 3000 and the gold around 225.
When they were released they were in fact beautiful but the numbers caused a slight problem as every collector wanted one. You have 2 types of buyers, true collectors and flippers. For the flippers this was an ideal situation as numbers of coins were low and demand high so it drove the prices up.  Golds hit 25k and graded silvers were making up to 6k, it basically went mental. The mint release prices were £4485 and £180
Now we have the second coin in the series The Three Graces, again small numbers ( 3500 & 325 ) and again a frenzy. This time however some people are sending their coins to be graded as they realise there is a lot more money to be made. Grading takes time and until those graded coins hit auction it is difficult to put a price on the coins in the market.
Hope this helps and I got it right

Agree for gold. Silver has the downside that it may milk spot in a very ugly way.

I got a call from my account manager first thing this morning saying he'd been able to secure me the 2 and 5oz silver and one of the gold (is it just an 1oz, it was crazy expensive?!!) and, with my balance taken into account, I am able to take them all on rolling credit

Then I woke up, and have just spent all day trying to keep the debt collectors from my door for an unpaid £78 gas bill.
I really should avoid this forum sometimes...

I can't think of another example in which a website allows an item to oversell then the company has to cancel orders.
I don't see how a company can operate so badly without something suspicious going on.
I've emailed them just for the disappointing reply I might get.
The last time I complained was about their packaging when they put my 2014 proof Britannia just into a jiffy bag and the presentation box got creases.
They said the coin packaging was just to protect the coin.
    It's run by halfwits.
