Could be a love token, coins which were bent in two places slightly and given to women by their sweethearts.  You lost value because of it being bent but nice to know that you're possibly holding something which could have been treasured by a young woman more than 250 years ago.

I'm sure there's a nice 3 bed semi available somewhere for 500oz.  Assuming you don't mind commuting from Botswana.

Same here I missed too.  What I did notice was, Geiger and STG (when it opened again) the prices did not drop as low as they did a couple of weeks ago.  I ordered some Philharmonics at £11.78 on the 14 Nov  when the Silver price was £9.60,  on the 1/12/14 the best price I could get was £12.25 for Noahs Arks when the Silver price was lower £9.45.  I waited but as we know the price went up.

To me, we are now seeing a shortage in the physical market.  If the price falls again I will buy at physical prices not paper prices if you know what I mean.  I,ll explain more, when the dips come the physical price does not like to go under £12 IMO, We had buyers premium for Maples at 28% and 27% for Philharmonics on STG the other day, when on the 14/11/14 the premium was around 20-22% HT's thread shows this.

Forum members will have to make there own minds up, Is the Silver shortage only a short to midterm problem? I think not, if the spot prices stays low and demand is still high. I may be proved wrong, but on the next dip I'm going in at the £12 price for bullion.

Yes. Yes. Yes.  In the game of such uncertainty and emotional rollercoasting it's refreshing to see someone with a clear plan, taking decisive action/

I still feel Like my buy last night was right too, I offloaded some premium silver and netted about £21 per ounce, raising over £800 in the process - I had a Dilemma , If i didn't buy there and then , there was a possibility spot would creep back up again, id end up in a cycle of waiting for it to drop again and may eventually end up buying bullion and a delivered price of not much less than what I netted for the premium stuff, and It would have been a wasted exercise that would lead to my collection being the same in ounces but less in value.

Having replaced ounce per ounce what I sold I feel much more comfortable now and that's worth a few quid to me lol.

Never wasted £12k on a car in my life. The most I've ever spent was £5k, One thing I don't do is waste money on something that I only use to get me from A to B. Never wash my car, (that's what rain is for), and only hoover it out, just before selling it on. Don't worry about dings, scratches, or dirty wheels, as I've always said, "when I'm sitting in the car I can't see the outside"

I decided to go for it due to my get out plan, I will probably sell direct to bullionbypost who seem to pay just a few % less than half of pure prices, but you need 5kg to get there best price and when I started I knew I could get that together easier than sterling, also its the premium on sterling coins. Though I do like them and do have some.

No idea what BBP do with the 500 but i dont see them selling it there? maybe they do refine it.
