I have got some brand new 100g Backyard Bullion branded Bars available. I produced 15 of these in 2017 and they all sold out - this year I intend the mintage to be 25. The first 10 are completed - but 5 of them have been sold already. Each bar is hand poured, hand stamped, hallmarked and then treated with Liver of Sulphur to bring out the definition of the lettering and ripples. Each bar is 100g minimum (some may be more - enjoy the free silver!) They have all been Hallmarked with a large hallmark as a feature on the front of the bar - the hallmark is from the Edinburgh Assay Office. They have all been serialised as well in the format "007" - as I said, the maximum mintage will be 25 for 2018. Price: £70 including UK delivery International buyers: £80 including tracked and signed FREE international postage (Tracked & Signed) if you buy more than one. Currently available serial numbers: **SOLD - 002 - SOLD** **SOLD - 003 - SOLD** **SOLD - 007 - SOLD** **SOLD - 009 - SOLD** **SOLD - 010 - SOLD** I am also quite happy to combine postage with any group orders or other orders you have made (silver forum bars etc). Payment via Banks Transfer or via Paypal G&S +5% or F&F PM or reply here if you are interested! Here are some photos of the bars: Bar Number 2 (Sold) Bar Number 3 (Sold) Bar Number 7 (Sold) Bar Number 9 Bar Number 10

I would say $40 over the raw coin easy, so if an ungraded example is spot plus $40 then spot plus $80. It'll be interesting to watch this one (as a holder of a 69 Griffin and Lion!). I don't know why it sounds like so many of the best early examples got to America (scratching my head here!) but you would not feel this way if you were in the UK lol, so many of the early coins were treated like trash by the Mint if not some dealers as well, I would not grade one of these beasties myself (because I cannot afford to buy a tube where one *might* get a 69, which was the reality of the situation)! Without postage to and fro I graded four coins with Heritage London in February and it was £16.50 each. The more you do in the same tier (classification) the cheaper it gets That is the price for members (you can check out membership prices on the NGC website) if you want to submit directly. Effectively Heritage are using their own membership to help you grade your coins at membership rates + 20% VAT.

In the USA - pinehurst coins has all the 1/4 ounce beasts for about $376 each - about $40 over spot each which is about the same premium they are selling all their other 1/4 ounce gold coins. From watching this series from the beginning my pricing on the 1/4 ounce is as follows: ms70 lion - haven’t seen any for sale in over a year on eBay - probably sell for $500 to $550. ms70 griffin - one sold on eBay about six months ago - probably worth around $800 plus. ms70 dragon - still available - $500 (pinehurst has them with a best offer option - probably can get it for $475) ms70 bull - on eBay right now $460 ms70 unicorn - still available $500-MCM ms69’s - spot plus $50 for all except the griffin, which seems to go for spot +100 if you can find it.

You don’t get volume certainly, but you can still find deals. Picked up 4 sterling commemorative crowns last week from a charity shop for £5 each. Metal value just over £11 each. Few weeks ago grabbed two sterling spoons 10gm each for £3 as part of a plated set.

I would look at their debt, because that's going to be the issue with every business soon. People are always focused on P/E, but when the bear starts and earnings go south, it'll be the amount of debt that decides who lives and who dies.

First rule of buying silver and gold. Your hard earned money in your wallet, and your own loyalty belong to you and you alone. Stack it to YOUR benefit and nobody else's. Shop around weighing up the unit prices and shipping (if applicable), then see which dealer does it cheaper. At the moment, that is definitely European dealers such as gs.be and European Mint. If you can pit dealers against one another to get the best deal FOR YOU, then do it. Also get involved in the forum group buys if you feel the price is good for YOU. That's who you then give your money to. Don't forget to always do your OWN research so YOU can understand what's going on to ensure YOU get the best deal for YOU. If you think a deal isn't good for YOU, walk away. Decide what price you are prepared to pay per ounce or per gram and make sure you have the discipline to STICK TO IT. Do not get sucked in to any ebay bidding wars that takes you over that pre set amount you are prepared to pay. Ego and vanity will ensure you fail. Discipline will ensure you only WIN. Remember, this is YOUR future you are investing in. Treat it like you are fighting in a war.

This group order is best for smaller orders. The only other advantages are that I would say are to be had from joining the group order is that I have already got the accounts set up with the dealers and the money transfer services. No need to do any IBAN transfers and the like. Saves a lot of hastle.

Geographical location is also critical. When countries need more money, it is very tempting for them to raise taxes on natural resource companies, or even nationalise them. Recently the Democratic Republic of Congo introduced a large increase in its taxes on mining and several companies' share price tumbled as a result, including Randgold. Under its new tax regime, mining companies are not going to make any new investments in DRC, so its mining output will decline. This is important for other metals as well, because DRC is the world's major producer of Cobalt. So it is probably best to stick to safer jurisdictions such as Canada, Australia, Mexico, and some of the South American countries.

    SAFLIP size

I personally don't find them that good as they scratch easily. They are mainly to tuck coins away or submit for grading. If you frequently want to take out your coins again I'd prefer capsules. 1oz gold (or 5 Sov) and especially Rwanda gold requires the larger size flips.

The official HMRC line on crypto is that its taxed the same as any other assets. So capital gains tax rules apply on profits made from holding cryptos, which is nice and simple. There is a complication that the tax is calculated when you change from one asset to another, so if one sells Bitcoin for Ethereum that counts as a taxable event, not only trading Bitcoin to £. HMRC doesn't care where the tax event occurred, so if its on an exchange in UK, Europe, US, Singapore, tax is the due if you are resident in the UK. Upshot of this is trades through a Isle of Man exchange are going to attract CGT if you are in the UK. The method to avoid tax is for the assets to be owned through an offshore shell company, then tax is applied under that jurisdiction and you only pay tax to HMRC when bringing profit back onshore. (not professional tax advice of course, just view from research on the subject for months.)
